Our project with Julie Vos was to create a custom built single Shopify theme that powers both their Retail and Wholesale sites / businesses. We worked with their in-house design and marketing teams to develop a site-wide style system and then worked to develop than into a dynamic theme that for each area of the business. The theme maintains a clean and simple look, but is loaded with custom options and settings under the hood. Both the site and the business is in a near constant state of evolution and iteration and we're incredibly excited by all the learnings and opportunities it's brought us.
NuSleep Bedding came to us in early 2015 looking to bring their revolutionary bedding product to the world via E-Commerce and Shopify. The product lines are split between two primary types of product, one to keep you cool at night, and one that keeps you dry. With the product offerings being so distinct, we followed suit on site structure and organized content so that users will flow into the proper path naturally. The product pages have big and beautiful displays of the product and the pages themselves are loaded with tons of dynamic structural content. It's a neat little site.
Hickies is a unique product that turns any pair of laced shoes into a slip-on. The product is dynamic and energetic and highly personable. We brought Hickies into the Shopify Network and helped them design and develop a mobile-first site that allowed for a tailored shopping experience that brought ALL products into ONE product, there-in reducing total pages and clicks for the user. No more collection page and no more clicking back and forth between pages. This is an incredibly simplified way to shop... and it wasn't easy! We loved the challenge though and are very happy with the site and the life it has taken on since we built it.
Paez approached us in late 2014 about a full scale redesign of their world-wide network of e-commerce sites to bring them all under a uniform look, feel and platform. All sites would be moved to Shopify (with a slow roll-out over 2015) and all would be region and language specific but under the same theme framework. We accepted the challenge and worked with Paez over the course of a few months in early 2015 to design and develop what we consider some of our best work yet.
With this site, we’re really pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on Shopify with dynamic product display based on availability, location aware store mapping, size based cookies and a responsive, multi-national, multilingual, multi-deployment structure to keep all of the sites in alignment over the course of the roll-out. It was a beast to build, but it’s a beast we’re very proud to call ours. Have a look at Paez.com.
There’s nothing like the challenge of working on a site for one of the biggest bands in the world (Metallica!)… especially when that challenge revolves around their biggest release to date… their new 3D IMAX Concert/Narrative Film Metallica Through The Never!
The site launched in multiple timed phases coinciding with Comic-Con San Diego and the Toronto International Film Festival. For this project, in collaboration with Bond Strategy & Influence, we designed and developed a responsive, device detecting, js animated, single-paged scrolling site for that is truly loaded!
We’re very excited about this one!
nuBest Salon came to us with an issue that we see all the time… an old Flash website that doesn’t work on mobile and that they can’t update without several calls and emails to the original developer. Not only were they in the need of a new site that could work across all devices, but they were also looking to make the jump into e-commerce. We decided it was time to move things over to our favorite e-commerce platform, Shopify. From there we worked with nuBest to define the website through photos of their newly remodeled20,000 sq. ft Salon and Spa in Manhasset, LI. What we’ve ended up with is a highly visual, fully responsive site that serves as a hub for all things nuBest with a clear and simple shopping experience and all the information anyone could ever need regarding the salon. We’re very excited about this one.
Launching in early April 2013, Just Managing was a complete overhaul from a very basic blog-style site into an interactive and responsive site pushing higher usability and SEO friendliness. The project involved showcasing the works of multiple producers, promoting engagement and maintaining a constant news feed.
